People looking for a new job or career change can explore immediate openings with more than 50 local employers at Caldwell’s summer job fair. The event – hosted by the Idaho Department of Labor – is set for Thursday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at its Caldwell office, 4514 Thomas Jefferson St.
Employers will be trying to fill job openings such as caregivers, general laborers, registered nurses, teachers, drivers, welders, assemblers, office staff, sales representatives, managers, warehouse workers and more.
Participating employers include Saint Alphonsus, D & B Supply, Amazon, Amalgamated Sugar, Northwest Traffic Services, Franz Bakery, the Treasure Valley YMCA, local staffing agencies and more. For a full list of employers, visit Labor’s calendar of events.

More than 60 Idaho employers with a variety of jobs to fill are participating in an outdoor hiring event in Caldwell on Wednesday, Sept. 15.
The three-hour event starts at 4 to 7 p.m. at the Idaho Department of Labor office in Caldwell at 4514 Thomas Jefferson St.
Among employers attending are Franklin Sensors, Hansen-Rice Inc., Materne Go Go Squeeze, Idaho Transportation Department, CSB Craig Stein Beverage, Canyon West of Cascadia, ProPak, Sparklight, CHF Home Furnishings, State Veterans Home, Schwan’s Home Delivery and many more.

Southwest District Health Department to offer free Covid-19 vaccine shots
The number of Idaho employers looking for employees at an outdoor hiring event in Caldwell this week has grown from 70 businesses to more than 100 with 3,000 jobs to fill.
The four-hour event starts at 10 a.m. and will run until 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 19 at the GALS Quad softball fields, 4700 Skyway St., in Caldwell.
Large employers including Ada County, St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, Amazon and Capitol Distributing are looking for electrical engineers, certified medical assistants, maintenance technicians, superintendents, security staff, warehouse associates, forklift drivers, custodians, customer service reps, landscaping staff and more.

The event takes place Wednesday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the GALS Quad softball fields, 4700 Skyway St., in Caldwell.
The first half hour is dedicated to military veterans.
