Plexus Corp. workers in Nampa may qualify for training and services under Trade Act

Zoom meeting scheduled for April 26

Employees of Plexus Corp. in Nampa, Idaho, who have or will become totally or partially separated from employment with Plexus on or after Nov. 30, 2020, through March 10, 2024, are eligible to apply for Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA).

Workers who may qualify for benefits and services under the Trade Act depends upon specific eligibility and time limitation requirements, as well as certain wage and employment qualifications.

Under the TAA program, eligible workers can apply for services including:

  • Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA) – deadlines to apply are within eight weeks from petition certification or 16 weeks from separation, whichever is later.
  • Training allowances.
  • Job search allowances.
  • Relocation allowances for new employment opportunities.

Eligible workers are urged to file a Trade Request for Determination of Entitlement as soon as possible. The form is available at labor.idaho.gov/Plexus. Complete the form and fax it to (208) 947-0049 or mail it to Idaho Dept. of Labor – 317 W. Main St., Boise, Idaho, 83735. Attn: Trade Act Coordinator.

A special Zoom meeting to review the petition and services available to eligible Plexus Corp. in Nampa, Idaho, staff is scheduled for:

  • Tuesday, April 26, 2022
  • 10 to 11 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time
  • Zoom meeting, by invitation only

The TAA program provides services and benefits to workers who lose their jobs because of increased imports or because their employer shifted production or services to certain countries outside the United States.
