2019 Serve Idaho Conference to Focus on Giving Back

Serve Idaho is hosting its 2019 annual conference- Giving Back Unites – March 27-28 in the Jordan Ballroom at Boise State University Student Union.

The general conference takes place March 27, 8 a.m. to 4:30. On March 28, the focus is on AmeriCorps members.

The audience for the general conference includes nonprofit and volunteer management professionals, AmeriCorps members and program directors, and individuals hoping to increase their skillset in volunteer and nonprofit management.

Keynote speakers include Luke Mickelson, founder of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization focused on building and delivery bunkbeds for children, and Stephanie Taylor-Silva. She is an AmeriCorps Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) for the Idaho Department of Correction’s Free2Succeed community mentor program.

Workshops include:

  • Leading with Your Strengths & Helping Others Do The Same
  • Volunteer Recruitment and Retention
  • Crucial Conversations – Handling Tough, but Necessary Conversation
  • Developing Effective Community Partnerships
  • Self-Care for Nonprofit Professionals and Leaders
