Back by popular demand, the Idaho Department of Labor is hosting our annual Teen and Young Adult Job Fair in Meridian, May 13. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Galaxy Event Center at Wahooz Family Fun Zone, 1385 S. Blue Marlin Lane.

The department still has space available for employers wishing to participate.

Participating businesses will have an opportunity to make face-to-face connections with potential applicants, interview them and fill positions on the spot.

Workforce consultant Janalee Henderson said the job fair was a hit last year. The fair generated 313 job seekers and 33 employers participated.

“Employers have an opportunity to bring teens and young adults into the workforce. And at such a young age, that is essential in growing a strong community,” Henderson said.

Interested employers looking to hire young Idahoans ages 14-24 for summer positions or permanent part-time/full-time positions must RSVP by emailing Janalee.Henderson@labor.idaho.gov or calling (208) 332-3575 ext. 4150.

Employers are urged to sign up soon as spots are filling up quickly.
