Kootenai County currently has over 1,400 job postings and 522 employers looking to fill positions.
“The top five hiring industries include administrative and support services; hospitals; ambulatory health care services; professional, scientific and technical services; and food services and drinking places,” said Sam Wolkenhauer, labor economist for the Idaho Department of Labor.
To connect job seekers to the many job opportunities in Kootenai County, a hiring event will take place Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the department’s Post Falls office. The address is 600 N. Thornton St.
Cabela’s, Comfort Keepers Home Care, Cornerstone Caregiving, Environmental Control, Fred Meyer, H&R Block, Harris & Bruno International, Home Helpers Home Care of Inland Northwest, Kootenai Health, ScribeAmerica and other employers will attend.
Job seekers can apply for numerous positions including caregivers, janitors, mechanical/manufacturing technicians, general production workers and media scribes.
