Post Falls hiring event Aug. 16 features employers hiring for multiple positions

Historically low unemployment continues to boost wages and the number of job openings in northern Idaho. Many of those jobs will be featured at a hiring event Aug. 16 in Post Falls.

Job seekers will find a large variety of job opportunities from construction work to caregiving. Many of the more than 25 employers represented are looking to fill multiple positions.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Idaho Department of Labor Post Falls office, 600 N. Thornton St.

A sampling of job titles includes machine operator, cashier/shipping clerk, caregivers, sales reps, corrections officer, cook, warehouse associate, painters, afterschool coaches, dental assistant, tax professionals, welder, CNC machinist, millwright, forklift operator, transportation dispatch and many more.

More than 35 employers will be looking for job candidates Wednesday, July 19, at Labor’s Post Falls hiring event. It takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Idaho Department of Labor office, 600 N. Thornton St.

Employers planning to attend include Aerotek, Primerica, Ground Force Worldwide, Coeur d’Alene Public Schools, Fred Meyer, Kootenai Health and many others.

Available job openings include landscapers, warehouse workers, caregivers, CAD drafter, CNA, nurse, welders, builders, general laborers and more.

60+ employers to attend April 19 Post Falls hiring event

The Idaho Department of Labor’s Post Falls office will host its biggest hiring event of the year Wednesday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 60 employers are slated to attend the event, taking place at Real Life Ministries, 1860 N. Cecil Road in Post Falls.

Employers from northern Idaho and Spokane are recruiting for positions in multiple industries. Some include HireQuest Direct, Aerotek, U.S. Postal Service, Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest., ATC Manufacturing, Sunshine Mining, Lake Pend Oreille School District #84 and Life Care of America.

A sampling of job openings includes restoration technicians, material handlers, RN/LPNs, heavy equipment operator, medical assistant, carpenters, job coach, janitors, warehouse order selectors and many more.

Meet 35+ employers at Labor’s Post Falls hiring event March 15

Over 100 jobs will be available for job seekers at the Idaho Department of Labor’s Post Falls hiring event Wednesday, March 15. The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Post Falls labor office located at 600 N. Thornton St.

Positions vary from carpenters, welders, warehouse workers, HVAC installers, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, caregivers, customer service supervisors to commercial photographers, graphic designers, landscape maintenance workers and more.

The Idaho Department of Labor’s Post Falls office will host its biggest job fair of the year Wednesday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 50 employers are slated to attend the event, taking place at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Road in Post Falls.

Employers from northern Idaho and Spokane are recruiting for more than 700 openings. Positions with major employers and local businesses offer opportunities such as supervisors, caregivers, technicians, health care professionals, sales personnel, drivers, CDL instructor, manufacturing workers, operations manager and more.

Job Fair Focuses on Job Seekers with Disabilities

The Idaho Department of Labor Discovery Job Fair will be held May 1, 2019, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Kootenai County Department of Labor local office, 600 N. Thornton St. in Post Falls. The event is tailored specifically for job seekers with disabilities.

Employers recruiting at the Discovery Job Fair currently employ people with disabilities or are open to hiring from this pool of job seekers.

Job applicants are encouraged to bring a resume, dress to meet potential employers and be prepared to speak directly with company recruiters and HR personnel. The event is free to attend.

One of northern Idaho’s largest hiring events is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Road in Post Falls.

More than 55 employers with at least 1,500 jobs combined are attending the event, which is expected to draw several hundred job seekers. Some jobs are available for immediate hire.

$202,500 Grant Helps North Idaho College Provide Specialized Training to Certified Nursing Assistants in Northern Idaho

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Kootenai Health, Valley Vista and Northwest Hospital Alliance in northern Idaho, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) can now receive additional training essential in meeting community needs. When the need to have CNAs with advanced training as mental health assistants, as restorative assistants and as patient care coordinators was identified, these health care providers partnered with North Idaho College (NIC) to create professional instruction in these three health care specialties.

North Idaho College was given a $202,500 industry sector grant from the Idaho Workforce Development Training Fund which included $50,625 in funds from private sector partners Kootenai Health, Valley Vista and Northwest Hospital Alliance. This grant, administered by the Idaho Department of Labor, has enabled NIC to develop and implement these three training programs as well as hire instructors for each course.
